Engagements: Ashley & Mike : Grapevine, Texas

These two lovebirds were so much fun to photograph! As soon as Ashley emailed me and told me that this would be their first "official" portrait experience for both of them - as they don't even do selfies - I was excited to show them how much fun it is to have your picture taken. When you're in front of my lens, it's fun!
It was as if we were meant to meet too - Ashley and I share the same birthday! Crazy!!!! And we are both fans of Friends and vintage and everything awesome. :)

We met up in downtown Grapevine and walked around from there! Even though it felt like it was 100 degrees out, these two hardly sweat it and were cool pro's the whole time. Their genuine smiles and ease around each other was so much fun to photograph.

I wish you two the best of luck in your walk in life together! Congratulations Ashley and Mike!

Engagements : Mylie & Eric

My best friend (and favorite model), Mylie, is married now! She and her hubby, Eric, went off to have an intimate wedding at the Sandals Resort in St. Lucia. I WISH I could have gone there to celebrate with them, but maybe we can all go for "honeymoon/vow renewal" soon!

When they came back from their week-long vacation (jealous...haha!) we ran around and took some late engagement portraits. Honestly, it's never a bad time to take portraits with the person you love. I had my engagement portraits taken AFTER my wedding - sometimes that's just how things work out! For Mylie and Eric, she was finishing up teaching, he was graduating from Texas Tech with his Masters and after that they were moving Eric out to Lewisville so he could work! They had a bit of a busy schedule. :)

I absolutely LOVE these two and I am so very happy for them both.

Family Session : Norris Family

Jeannie is a friend from my weekly Wednesday networking group. She's an amazing mother and after scheduling and rescheduling and rescheduling, we finally found a time that worked great for everybody! It was super quick too, all they wanted was ONE photo! (A quick snap of the reunion of the siblings and then it was time for the big family portrait!)
We met up in downtown Grapevine, all the holiday lights were up and it was perfect. This family knew just want to do as well! They were perfect! I just had to wait for the arch hallway of lights to all light up at the same time to capture the perfect family portrait. Seriously, I'm a little jealous!

Merry Christmas to the Norris family and to all those reading my blog! Now that the holidays are over, I can share all the awesome family portraits I've been taking that were reserved for Christmas cards!

Business Portraits

Business Portraits are just as important as a well written resume. Toady business leaders do not want to just see a name, they also want to see a face. Customers want to relate to the people they buy from or hire and work with. With business portraits you can advertise your business and yourself. Promotional material, websites, blogs, and anything you put your name on, you should also be putting your face on.

DO NOT use Facebook as a source for your Professional Portrait! Do not use your cell phone's camera while you are sitting in the car - at least take the seat belt off before you take the picture.

Here are the "before" photos I pulled from their websites with my "after" portraits of the professionals who have let me get my camera on them.

Bob Grant - Grant and Associates Consulting, Southlake Chamber of Commerce
