Fashion Session : Susan Lee Rigg

Susan Lee Rigg was so much fun to work with!
She is a full time model, visiting family after moving to Italy to further her career. While she is in town she wants to, duh, model! Such a sweet girl, I'm glad I got the opportunity to work with her and it gave me some experience on the "fashion" side of photography.
Susan, good luck with your career!

Enjoy!

Fashion Session : Scott and Rebecca

On Thursday, two other photographers and myself got together to collaborate ideas and boy was I excited to get back to my camera! Isaac Everett provided the models and props, along with the makeup and hair artists. Kent Sparkman and I tagged along to help with ideas and to grab a few shots for ourselves. It was tons of fun and a little warm out but definitely a FUN adventure!

Can't wait to work with these two photographers again! We've all got different styles, but how else can you grow in your own work if you don't try out new ideas every now and then?

Here are some of my favorite shots form the afternoon! Scott and Rebecca were awesome models to work with. :)

Engagement Session : Lauren & LD

You know how sometimes you can just look at a couple and know they were meant to be together? Lauren and LD are that couple. They were all smiles the entire morning we spent together. I knew Lauren from our days we spent hours holed up in the studio in the basement of the Mass Communications Building at Texas Tech University. Here is one from those days..... :)

Anywho, it was so much fun trying out some new places with this couple. ALSO it was great for me to get back in to photography after postponing sessions or declining new clients due to my pregnancy. Now that my daughter is here and almost 6 weeks old I feel confident enough to get back out there. Lauren and LD were such a joy to work with and congratulations go all around.

Congratulations to you two. I wish the best of luck to you both on a very happy and successful future together.

Maternity Session : Alison

Such pretty light was coming into our home today that I couldn't resist snapping a self portrait. I'm about 8 months along now and I already can't wait to meet my very active little girl. Can't believe she's only a month away from charming the world and making her mommy and daddy proud parents.

Fashion Session : Sarah

Sarah is such a beautiful lady, both inside and out! She's working on her career as a model and I was absolutely thrilled that she chose me as her photographer to help her along that path.

I strongly believe that in order to be the best you can at your talent, you must have multiple teachers, mentors, partners and bosses along the way. Each will push you and better you in a different way. Monotony is the best way to hit a brick wall in your learning curve.

I wish the best of luck to Sarah as she pursues her modeling career. It was so wonderful to work with her!

Maternity Session : Lilly

Lilly is such a beautiful mommy-to-be! She was glowing the entire time. We were sharing pregnancy stories back and forth. I'm about a month ahead of her, so we had lots to talk about. Oh how time flies!

We met up at J&B Cafe and headed out from there on an adventure! She was a trooper in the cool wind while wearing stilettos! I can't even fit my feet into any of my heels anymore!

So far the pregnancy was treating Lilly great. Her husband, Alan joined us and hopped into a few pictures as well. I wish the best of luck for this happy family! A baby changes everything!!!

Senior Session : Allison

Oh boy, where to start with this one...

Allison is a very dear friend of mine and has also FINALLY graduated Texas Tech University as a "Super Super Senior." She decided she liked school so much, she'd take a few extra years to get her degree. :)

We spent an afternoon walking around campus, capturing all the landmarks and various facets of her personality. She's a quirky one!

She is also quite the artist and a sister at heart to me. I can only hope the future inspires her to push her art further to take her to exciting places that will inspire her more. Good luck, Allison.
